Warwick University Rugby League is one of the friendliest and most successful clubs on campus. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve got years of rugby experience or if you’ve never held a ball, WURL has something for everyone.

 

The 1st team compete every week in the BUCS Midlands 1A League. We also have a development team which play in regular development tournaments and friendlies. This gives everyone who comes to training the opportunity to have some game time.

 

We aren’t just about competitive rugby league though.  Every Wednesday, we meet to circle in Leamington’s own The Pig and Fiddle before heading to Pop! or Kelsey's. We also organise trips to international games and we have an international mystery-tour in Easter (past destinations have included Amsterdam, Prague and Budapest).

Monday: 4.00 - 6.00 PM @ Cryfield 4G

Wednesday: match day

Friday: 8.00- 10.00PM @ Cryfield 4G

 

Training sessions are taken by head coach Troy Perkins - former professional rugby league player who has played for, among others, the Penrith Panthers and the St. George Illawarra Dragons in the NRL .
